All Nationals Championships Series events will use the new US Disc Dog Judging Criteria for Toss and Fetch, which were developed and then adopted by the Steering Committee coordinating the US Disc Dog Nationals in March 2001.
With the exception of the Toss and Fetch Championships, all other Nationals Championships Series events will also use the new US Disc Dog Judging Criteria for Freestyle, the development of which is expected to be finalized in July 2001.
All Freestyle and Toss and Fetch rounds in the Nationals Championships Series will be judged by volunteers who have been trained, tested, and certified in the USDDN Judges Certification Program. In February 2001, twelve experienced and respected disc dog competitors were elected to a Judges Panel that will judge freestyle competition in the Nationals Championships Series. In addition to the Judges Panel it is anticipated that other members of the disc dog community will participate in the USDDN Judges Certification Program so that a large number of certified judges will soon be available for judging the US Disc Dog Judging Criteria for Freestyle and Toss and Fetch in all parts of the USA.
The USDDN Judges Certification Program is currently under development. It is anticipated that the first certified judges will complete their training, testing and certification in August 2001.
All questions about the USDDN Judges Certification Program and enquiries about how to participate in the program and secure access to certified judges should be directed to the USDDN Judging Director, |
